This Privacy Policy explains what information StayProof handles, how it is used, and what choices you have. This policy applies to the StayProof mobile app, this website, and related support services.
1. Who provides StayProof
StayProof is developed and published by LMNTS Apps. LMNTS Apps is operated by Parklane Property Management Ltd.
Contact: [email protected]
2. Summary
StayProof is designed to minimise data collection. In version 1:
- You do not need an account to use StayProof.
- StayProof does not require login.
- StayProof does not provide cloud sync.
- Property details, inspection notes, photos, captions, and generated PDF reports are stored locally on your device.
- Your inspection content leaves your device only when you choose to share, export, save, or send it.
- StayProof may use limited anonymous product analytics to understand basic app usage and improve the product.
- Analytics does not include property names, addresses, owner/client names, notes, photo captions, photos, generated PDF files, PDF contents, custom template names, checklist item text, local file paths, email addresses, phone numbers, or precise location.
- StayProof does not use session replay, automatic screen recording, heatmaps, automatic click/touch capture, third-party ads, advertising tracking, contact access, or precise location tracking.
- StayProof does not sell your personal information.
- Optional subscriptions are processed through Google Play and RevenueCat.
3. Information stored locally on your device
StayProof stores the information you enter into the app locally on your device. This may include:
- onboarding choices, such as country, app language, role, and property count range
- property names
- property addresses or location descriptions
- property type
- owner or client names, if you choose to enter them
- property notes
- inspection templates selected
- inspection titles
- checklist statuses
- checklist notes
- custom checklist section and item names
- photo captions
- photos selected from your device or taken with the camera for inspection evidence
- generated PDF reports and report history
- subscription or entitlement state used by the app to apply Free or Pro limits
StayProof uses this local information to provide the app’s core features, including property management, inspection checklists, photo proof, PDF generation, report history, subscription limits, and language preferences.
StayProof does not upload your property data, inspection notes, photos, captions, or PDF reports to a StayProof cloud service in version 1.
4. Onboarding information
During onboarding, StayProof asks for a small number of setup preferences:
- country
- language
- role
- property count range
These choices help the app set defaults and tailor wording or workflows. These onboarding choices are stored locally on your device.
StayProof may also use coarse onboarding choices, such as selected country, language, role, or property range, as anonymous analytics properties to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the app.
5. Photos and photo proof
StayProof lets you add photo proof to inspections. You can add photos by taking a new photo with your camera or selecting an existing photo from your photo library or media picker.
When you add a photo to StayProof, the app may create an app-owned local copy for use in inspection drafts, completed reports, and generated PDFs.
StayProof does not delete your original camera roll, gallery, or source photos when you remove a photo from the app. Removing photos inside StayProof removes the app’s own local reference or local copy, not your original photo outside the app.
Photos remain on your device unless you choose to share or export them as part of a report or through another app.
6. PDF reports and sharing
StayProof generates PDF inspection reports from the information you enter into the app. PDF reports may include property details, inspection type, completion date and time, checklist statuses, issue summaries, notes, photos and captions, report summary counts, StayProof branding, and Free plan watermark or badge where applicable.
Generated reports are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share, export, save, or send them.
When you share a PDF report, your device’s native share sheet may let you send the file through third-party apps or services, such as email, messaging apps, cloud storage, or file managers. Any copy you send through another app is handled by that app or service under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. Permissions
StayProof may request the following permissions:
- Camera: used to let you take inspection photos.
- Photos or media library: used to let you select existing photos for inspection evidence.
StayProof uses these permissions only for the app features you choose to use. Permission requests are handled by your device operating system. You can change app permissions through your device settings.
8. Anonymous product analytics
StayProof may use limited anonymous product analytics to understand how the app is used, improve reliability, and improve the product experience.
Analytics may include product usage events such as:
- app opened
- onboarding completed
- language changed
- property created
- property limit reached
- inspection started
- inspection completed
- PDF generated
- PDF generation failed
- report shared
- report sharing failed
- report limit reached
- paywall viewed
- purchase started
- purchase succeeded
- purchase cancelled
- purchase failed
- restore purchases started
- restore purchases succeeded
- restore purchases failed
Analytics events may include limited technical or preference information, such as app version, platform, app language, selected country, selected role, selected property range, plan state, template type, inspection status, paywall trigger, and broad failure category.
Analytics does not include:
- property names
- addresses or location descriptions
- owner or client names
- inspection titles
- property notes
- inspection notes
- photo captions
- photos
- generated PDF files
- PDF contents
- custom template names
- custom checklist section or item names
- local file paths or file URIs
- email addresses
- phone numbers
- personal contact lists
- precise location
- raw error messages
- advertising identifiers for ad targeting
StayProof currently uses PostHog for product analytics using an EU-hosted project. StayProof configures analytics to avoid session replay, heatmaps, automatic screen recording, automatic click/touch capture, automatic form-content capture, advertising tracking, and collection of inspection content.
StayProof does not use analytics to identify you by name, email address, phone number, or account, because StayProof version 1 does not require accounts or login.
9. Subscriptions and payments
StayProof may offer optional Pro subscription features. Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing are handled by Google Play or the relevant app store payment provider.
StayProof also uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements, such as whether your device currently has access to Pro features. StayProof does not directly collect or store your full payment card details.
Google Play and RevenueCat may process purchase-related information needed to provide subscriptions, verify entitlement status, manage renewals or cancellations, prevent fraud, and support subscription functionality.
Purchase-related information may include product identifiers, purchase or transaction status, subscription entitlement status, app store receipt or purchase verification information, anonymous or app-generated customer identifiers, and device and app information needed for subscription processing.
10. Advertising
StayProof does not show third-party ads in version 1. StayProof does not use your inspection content for advertising. StayProof does not sell your personal information for advertising.
11. Information shared with service providers
StayProof may share limited information with service providers only where needed to operate the app, subscriptions, support, analytics, or distribution. This may include:
- Google Play: used for app distribution, subscription purchases, billing, subscription management, refunds, and related app store services.
- RevenueCat: used to manage subscription entitlements and help determine whether Pro features should be available.
- PostHog: used for limited anonymous product analytics to understand app usage and improve the product, without collecting inspection content.
- StayProof website hosting: used to host public legal pages such as this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
- Support tools: if you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message contents, screenshots, device details, or app version.
We do not sell personal information. We do not upload your property data, inspection notes, photos, captions, or PDF reports to a StayProof cloud service in version 1.
12. Legal reasons and safety
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- enforce our terms or protect our rights
- detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
- protect users, the public, or the app
13. Data retention
Most StayProof content is stored locally on your device. You control local app content through the app and your device.
Local content may remain on your device until you:
- delete it inside StayProof
- uninstall the app
- clear app storage through your device settings
- delete files you exported or saved outside the app
If you share a PDF report or photo with another app or service, that copy is controlled by the app or service you shared it with.
Subscription and purchase records may be retained by Google Play, RevenueCat, or related payment processors according to their own policies and legal obligations. Analytics events may be retained by PostHog or another analytics provider for a limited period needed for product analysis, debugging, security, and service operation. Support emails and related support information may be retained for as long as needed to respond to your request, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
14. Deleting your data
Because StayProof is local-first, you can delete most app content directly from your device.
You can delete:
- individual photos inside inspections
- draft inspections
- completed inspections or reports
- properties
- property cover photos
You can also remove local app data by uninstalling StayProof or clearing the app’s storage through your device settings. StayProof cannot delete copies of reports or photos that you have already shared with other apps, people, or services.
If you contact us and ask us to delete information that we hold outside your device, such as support emails or analytics records that can reasonably be linked to you, we will respond as required by applicable law.
15. Security
StayProof is designed to keep inspection content local to your device by default. Local app data is protected by your device operating system and device security settings.
Where StayProof communicates with service providers, such as Google Play, RevenueCat, PostHog, website hosting, or support tools, data is transmitted using secure network connections where supported.
No app or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect your device with a passcode, biometric lock, or other security features.
16. International transfers
StayProof may be used in different countries. Service providers such as Google Play, RevenueCat, PostHog, website hosting, or support tools may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal bases or safeguards for such processing.
17. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection.
Because StayProof stores most app content locally on your device, we may not have access to your property data, inspection notes, photos, captions, or reports.
You can manage local content directly in the app or through your device settings. For privacy requests about information we may hold outside your device, contact: [email protected]
18. Children
StayProof is intended for adults and property-related use. StayProof is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and respond appropriately.
19. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StayProof changes. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and publish the new version on this page.
Your continued use of StayProof after an update means the updated policy applies to your use of the app.
